Mark Levin is Latest Conservative to Attack Fox’s Bill O’Reilly for Pro-Gay Marriage Comments (VIDEO)

On his radio show Wednesday night, Mark Levin attacked Fox host Bill O’Reilly for his assertion that gay marriage opponents have no compelling argument aside from “thumping the Bible.”

Levin played a clip of O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly discussing their belief that same-sex marriage opponents failed to articulate a “compelling” argument outside of religious dogma. He then asked, “Have I thumped the bible once? Have I thumped the bible once in one-and-a-half hours?”

In a somewhat personal attack, Levin then slammed O’Reilly in regards to his Catholic faith, saying, “You’re a practicing Catholic, have you heard what your priests have to say, all the way up to the Pope?”

Levin went on to ask why O’Reilly was “putting down” his own audience. “I thought you stood for the folks,” he said. “You sound like Obama with your ‘clinging to your guns and Bible’ line.”

He then accused O’Reilly of “mischaracterizing and degrading” the opponents of same-sex marriage, suggesting the Fox host’s claims of being an opponent of “secular progressivism” were all a lie.

“Those people in your audience who you put down as ‘Bible thumpers,’ I bet they feel misled by you and your books and your monologues,” Levin concluded.
