Mika Brzezinski bans Kellyanne Conway: ‘I don’t believe in fake news’

This Wednesday morning, Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski slammed Trump Senior Counselor Kellyanne Conway for her dissemination of “fake news [and] information that is not true.” Now, the MSNBC anchor says enough is enough.

“I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show; I won’t do it,” Brzezinski said. “Every time I’ve ever seen her on television, something’s askew, off, or incorrect.”

“I will say — Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, just as long as I’m on it,” Brzezinski said, implying that Conway requests to do guest appearances by text. “Because it’s not happening here.”

Brzezinski’s remarks come after a Morning Joe segment from yesterday focusing on Conway’s appearances on several of the morning shows, where Joe Scarborough said Conway gave “misinformation” to Matt Lauer of NBC’s Today Show.

“And again, I don’t even think she’s saying things she knows to be untrue, she’s just saying things just to get in front of a TV set and prove her relevance because behind the scenes, she’s not in these meetings,” Scarborough said.

Brzezinski added bluntly, “She’s not credible anymore.”

It’s still yet to be known if Brzezinski’s declaration is now official Morning Joe policy.
