Mike Pence: A ‘historic percentage of African Americans’ will reelect Trump

This Friday, President Trump spoke to his black supporters at the launch for his campaign’s Black Voices for Trump coalition. The message: Democrats are not your friends.

“Democrats want to give welfare and free health care to illegal aliens, courtesy of you, the American taxpayer and the African American community,” he told the crowd. According to reports, there were about 300 people in attendance.

“Republicans believe that public benefits should be protected for American citizens,” he added.

Also speaking was Vice President Mike Pence, who tried his hand at prophetic speaking.

“With your voices, with your support, and with your prayers, I know this movement will reach more African Americans than ever before,” Pence said. “And come election day, 2020, I know that we will reelect President Donald Trump with a historic percentage of African Americans for four more years in the White House.”

In 2016, Trump got a lousy 8% of the African American vote, whereas Hillary got a whopping 89%. He currently has about 10% support from African Americans, according to a recent Quinnipiac Poll.
