Nancy Pelosi says Trump looked like a ‘scared puppy’ during his arraignment on Jan 6 charges

During an appearance on MSNBC this Friday, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Donald Trump looked like a “scared puppy” after he showed up in D.C. for his arraignment on charges that he worked to undermine the 2020 election’s results.

During her time as Speaker of the House, Pelosi led two impeachment efforts against Trump and has demanded he face criminal charges for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 riot. y,”

Speaking to MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell, Pelosi gave her thoughts on what she saw on video footage of Trump’s arraignment.

“I wasn’t in the courtroom, of course. But when I saw his coming out of his car and this or that, I saw a scared puppy,” Pelosi said.

“He looked very, very, very concerned about his fate,” Pelosi told Mitchell. “I didn’t see any bravado or confidence or anything like that. He knows he knows the truth, that he lost the election and now he’s got to face the music.”

“I’m very proud of the work of the January 6th committee, which laid the foundation, created a path for us to get to this place, to seek the truth,” she added.

On Thursday, Trump pleaded not guilty to four criminal charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, including conspiring to defraud the United States and to obstruct an official proceeding.
