Nazi face mask couple banned from entering all Walmart stores

Walmart officials are confirming that an incident captured on video that has since gone viral, showing a couple wearing face masks emblazoned with swastikas, happened at one of their stores on Marshall, Minnesota.

The video starts out showing the 59-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman at the cash register as other shoppers vocally object to their display. According to KARE11, Marshall PD Sergeant Jason Buysse’s department issued a notice of trespass to the two shoppers at the request of Walmart

After the video made the rounds on social media, Walmart issued a statement on Saturday, saying that the couple’s behavior was “unacceptable.”

“We strive to provide a safe and comfortable shopping environment for all our customers and will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment in any aspect of our business,” the statement read. “We are asking everyone to wear face coverings when they enter our stores for their safety and the safety of others and it’s unfortunate that some individuals have taken this pandemic as an opportunity to create a distressing situation for customers and associates in our store.”

The trespass notices issued to the couple effectively bans them from entering any Walmart store for one year.

Saturday was the first day of Minnesota’s mask mandate, requiring face coverings be worn in all public places. Walmart’s mask policy, however, has been in effect since Monday.
