A New Hampshire state representative came to the defense of fellow Republican Donald Trump last week, declaring that Pope Francis is the Anti-Christ.

Republican state Rep. Susan DeLemus, who once claimed Donald Trump is the only politician she believes in, responded to her own Facebook post were she claimed that “The Pope is the anti-Christ. [sic] Do your research,” she wrote, adding that she’s “not sure who the Pope truly has in his heart.”

According to POLITICO, DeLemus said that she was generally referring to the papacy and not Pope Francis in particular.

“I was actually referencing the papacy. And what I wrote after that ‘do your research,’ if you read the Geneva Bible, which is the Bible I use when we study, the commentary is – actually by the founders of the United States actually, the Protestant Church – their commentary references the papacy as the anti-Christ,” DeLemus said.

In December of last year, DeLemus made news when, as a relative unknown, she appeared on CNN and lied that she was “never into politics until now,” before going into a bizarre pro-Trump rant.

“I’m telling you, he says what I’m thinking!” she said. “Never been involved in politics, never had an interest in any of it. Now suddenly, [Trump] is resonating. He is resonating with the people and he’s speaking our minds. Our minds!”

My only response is “so what about what she has to say”? Like she matters, must be a slow news day, wtf.

Seems like she’s wound pretty tight. People like her have been claiming the Pope is the Anti-Christ since the 19th century. And wasn’t her husband Jerry involved in the Bundy ranch standoff in 2014? Nice family.

Further evidence that Rethuglicans are mean, hostile, brain damaged, irrational, liars. I wouldn’t let a Rethuglican in my home or near my children for any amount of money.

She would have been burned at the stake for heresy just a few hundred years ago for saying that. I’m just saying.

She’s an elected state representative, a nut job voted into office by a bunch of people who clearly weren’t thinking straight. It’s not so much about what she says, it’s what her being in office says about us!

What is the Geneva Bible? I thought all protestants used the King James version? She must be the Rep. for the far reaches of the state, as I’m sure the southern part of the state didin’t vote for her!
