New poll: If the election were held today, Bernie Sanders would crush Donald Trump

A new CNN poll released this Sunday shows that if the election were held today, Bernie Sanders would crush Donald Trump by a margin of 58-38. He would also convincingly beat Scott Walker by a margin of 48-42.

Among both Democrats and Republicans, Sanders beats Jeb Bush by one point, 48-47.

From Alternet:

[This] credible poll suggests that Sanders is not just some pie-in-the-sky general election candidate. His more uphill battle may be the primary. But even there, he has some strengths. Polling out last week shows he’s the only candidate from either side who has a net favorability rating.

Among the top ten total Democratic and Republican candidates for president, Sanders is the only one whose favorable rating is higher than his unfavorable rating.

According to the poll’s respondents, Hillary Clinton would beat Jeb Bush by 51-46, Donald Trump by 57-38, and Scott Walker by 54-43.
