Newspaper typo announces ‘Satan’ to attend Christmas parade — guy dons red face paint and obliges

COURTENAY, BC — A typo in the Comox Valley Record created a perfect opportunity for Tim “Skippy” Miller to do a little comedy.

An ad in the Nov. 21 edition of the paper announced that “Pictures with Satan [Santa]” would be available during the Comox Valley Christmas Parade. That’s when Miller donned a Santa suit along with red face paint and horns and ended up being a bigger hit than Saint Nick himself. According to one photo posted to Facebook, two other people dressed up as the Devil and made appearances as well.
