No one seems to want to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration

When it comes to inauguration ceremonies, celebrities are a huge part of the draw. Unlike Barack Obama who pulled in Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin to perform at his inauguration, president-elect Donald Trump is having trouble finding any musicians who want to perform for him.

Trump’s lack of supporters in the music world is making the upcoming January 20 event look pretty dim.

According to a member of Trump’s transition team, Sir Elton John was slated to perform, but the legendary musician was quick to deny that claim. Earlier in the campaign when Trump used his song “Tiny Dancer” for a campaign rally, John said, “I’m not Republican in a million years.”

“Why not ask Ted f*cking Nugent?” John quipped.

Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil had previously announced he’s play, but later thought better of it and dropped out. When Rolling Stones were asked to play, they refused.

Maybe Ted Nugent would be a safe bet after all.
