Pastor responds to ‘false prophet’ accusations after promising Trump’s reelection: ‘He was reelected in the court of Heaven’

During a recent sermon, right-wing evangelical pastor Kent Christmas slammed people who called him a false prophet after his promises of Donald Trump’s reelection failed to come true in 2020.

According to Christmas, the problem isn’t his penchant for making Trump-related predictions that don’t come true — the problem is Christians “who don’t understand prophecy.”

“The problem with so many Christians is they don’t understand prophecy,” Christmas said in a video flagged by Right Wing Watch. “I had people emailing me to say, ‘You are a false prophet because you prophesied that Donald Trump would be voted back in.’ I did, and he was.”

As the audience erupted into applause, Christmas then resorted to pushing the ‘stolen election’ conspiracy theories as a way to further justify his failed prophecy, saying that Joe Biden was installed as president “illegally.”

“But in the eyes of God and the Court of Heaven today, the president of the United States is Donald J. Trump,” Christmas declared. “That’s all I prophesied. That’s what God said.”
