Paul Gosar to Matt Gaetz: I’ll arm-wrestle you to get dibs on Kyle Rittenhouse as an intern

As the jury deliberated during Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial last week, Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz declared his belief that Rittenhouse was innocent and said he’s considering hiring him as a congressional intern.

“You know what, Kyle Rittenhouse would probably make a good congressional intern. We may reach out to him and see if he’d be interested in helping the country in additional ways,” Gaetz said Nov. 17 during an appearance on Newsmax

“He is not guilty. He deserves a not guilty verdict and I sure hope he gets it,” Gaetz said.

Sure enough, Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges on Friday — a development that led Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) to up the stakes for Rittenhouse’s internship.

“Justice was served for [Kyle Rittenhouse] and he is fully exonerated. As I said last year, obviously self-defense,” Gosar tweeted. “I will arm wrestle @mattgaetz to get dibs for Kyle as an intern.”

Have at it, weirdos.
