Pete Buttigieg fires back at pro-Trump heckler: ‘Are you afraid of what I have to say?’

Speaking at a rally in Florida Wednesday for the Biden-Harris ticket, Pete Buttigieg faced down a heckler dressed in cargo shorts and a MAGA hat, according to Out.com.

“Wouldn’t it be nice to have a president who will serve him just as enthusiastically as he will serve us? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a president who cares just as much about protecting the lives of those that protest us as those who stand at our side?” Buttigieg said as his handlers tried to shield him from the man.

“Don’t you feel a little sorry for a president who finds it necessary to draw this kind of support?” Buttigieg continued, referring to the heckler. “But it’s ok sir because when Joe Biden is president you will be safer too,”

When rally goers tried to remove the man, Buttigieg waved them off.

“Dude, can I finish my remarks?” he asked the man. “Are you afraid to hear what I have to say?”
