Poll finds that Trump supporters don’t mind if he uses a private email server

Public Policy Polling just released a new poll which shows that a significant percentage of supporters of President Trump are okay with the fact that he uses a private email server.

“Forty-two percent of Trump voters think he should be allowed to have a private email server to just 39 percent who think he shouldn’t be allowed to,” according to PPP.

The results of the poll are notable considering that Trump and many of his most vocal supporters repeatedly attacked Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign for using a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State.

From The Hill:

According to another new report, at least four senior officials in President Trump’s White House have active accounts on a private Republican National Committee (RNC) email system.

Newsweek reported this week that members of Trump’s team, including top aide Kellyanne Conway, White House press secretary Sean Spicer, chief strategist Steve Bannon, and Trump’s son-in-law and chief advisor Jared Kushner, all have Republican National Committee email accounts, which are hosted on private servers.
