Preacher who sang at event for Roy Moore obstructed an investigation of his son for molesting orphans

A minister at the church where Roy Moore spoke last Wednesday has a disturbing history regarding child molestation.

Rev. Bill Atkinson led the music at the Alabama church where Roy Moore spoke this Wednesday night. But when it comes to the subject of child molestation, Atkinson, like Moore, has his own history of trouble with the truth.

According to, Atkinson was federally convicted of obstruction and conspiracy involving claims that his son molested orphaned children in Honduras.

Atkinson’s 2012 convicted came after he had two of his children to destroy a hard drive of a digital video recorder which contained evidence of his son’s guilt for child molestation.

At the time, William James “Will” Atkinson IV was in a Honduras jail awaiting trial on charges that he molested children at an orphanage the Atkinson family owned. Those allegations came to light when his younger brother, Jonathan Atkinson, set up a secret surveillance system in Will’s office after some of the children said they had been touched inappropriately.

Authorities maintained that the eldest Atkinson then tried to get his son out of Honduras and back to Theodore.

As points out, not much is known on how the judge ruled in Atkinson’s case.

During his speech at the church on Wednesday, Moore continued his denials regarding his alleged sexual grooming of teenagers when he was in his 30s. Moore accusers now stand at nine women.

“Who are they? The liberals. They don’t want conservative values,” Moore said from the pulpit of Magnolia Springs Baptist Church. “They are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender … who want to change our culture. They are socialists who want to change our way of life. Putting man above God. And the government is our god. They are the Washington establishment. They want to keep everything the same so they don’t lose their position, power and prestige.

During the speech, a protester interrupted Moore, yelling, “Are all the girls lying?”

As the protester was being escorted out, a comedian known for crashing political events stood up and sarcastically defended Moore.

“That’s a man’s man,” the comedian shouts in video published by, referring to Moore. “Does that look like the face of someone who hits on teenage girls?”
