A priest in the Philippines was suspended by the Dioceses of San Pablo for hoverboarding around church during Christmas Eve services.
On December 24, the priest rode around his church on his hoverboard (which is just a handleless segway) while singing to churchgoers. A video of the priest’s skills went viral instantly.
Conservative members of the church were not amused and the priest was promptly suspended to give him time to think about the bro-ness of his actions.
“The priest said that it was a wake up call for him,” said a dioceses official in a public statement. “He acknowledged that his action was not right and promised that it will not happen again. He will be out of the parish and will spend some time to reflect on this past event. He would like to apologize for what happened.”
The hoverboarding priest has yet to issue a statement for himself yet. Luckily for him, he appeared to be much more skilled on the board than Mike Tyson.
Seemed like a good idea to ride my daughter #milantyson #cyboard #hoverboard but guess not… pic.twitter.com/Cjn4s22E5l
