Racist Christians pull down mysterious California monolith and replace it with a cross, chanting: ‘Christ is king!’

A mysterious monolith that recently popped up in Atascadero, California, was torn down overnight by a group of Trump-supporting Christian men who livestreamed their actions, VICE reports.

The video shows three men pushing the statue over and chanting “America First” and “Christ is King.”

“Christ is king of this country,” one of the men says. “We don’t want illegal aliens from Mexico or outer space.”

After placing a wooden cross where the monolith once stood, the group, one of them wearing a MAGA headband, posed for pictures looking triumphant.

According to the Daily Beast, police are now looking into the monolith’s destruction.

Speaking to VICE, Atascadero Mayor Heather Moreno said, “We are upset that these young men felt the need to drive 5 hours to come into our community and vandalize the Monolith. The Monolith was something unique and fun in an otherwise stressful time.”
