Right-wing blogger: Parkland victims were killed by ‘political correctness’

According to far-right video blogger Stefan Molyneux, it was “political correctness,” not lax gun laws that allowed Nikolas Cruz to carry out his attack at a Parkland, Florida high school that killed 17 people last month.

In a video flagged by Right Wing Watch, Molyneux talked about the “ugly truth” regarding the March for Our Lives protests that swept across the country this weekend.

“Now, of course, the proximate cause for all of this was the shooting in [Parkland, Florida] recently—the shooting of the children,” he said, “And because there is an emotionally reactive group of people who either have never been exposed to the facts and the truth about that shooting, about guns as a whole, or simply have simply ignored it if they have been exposed to it, or they’re simply useful happy bleating idiots—the puppets of the puppet master—speaking out against the elemental freedoms of the United States.”

“The fact is that it was not fundamentally a gun that killed those kids in the school in Florida. What killed those kids was political correctness,” he said. “What killed those kids was political correctness.”

Molyneux went on to explain that “quotas” from Obama-era policies that resulted in fewer arrests of blacks and Hispanics.

“So you get fewer arrests, you get more lawlessness, and then what happens is people who are actually engaged don’t end up with a record that would show up in background checks.”

“It was not the gun who did it,” Molyneux concluded. “It was political correctness and the quota system and the exclusion from the rule of law of particular minorities. And this is to some degree the ‘Ferguson effect,’ but this is the reality.”
