According to a report from the Washington Post, former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker is helping Vice President Mike Pence prepare for his upcoming debates with vice presidential contender Kamala Harris — by standing in and playing the role of Harris in mock debates.
People close to the matter told the Post that several debate-related meetings were slated to be held Thursday.
“In 2016, Walker was Pence’s stand-in for Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who was the Democrats’ vice-presidential nominee that year. Washington lawyer Robert Barnett was Kaine’s stand-in for Pence,” the Post notes.
