Steve Bannon: ‘If you don’t want to be stupid, stop watching Fox News’

During a segment on the Real America’s Voice network, Steve Bannon addressed a woman who lamented that young people don’t know anything about the policies they’re voting for. Bannon also echoed a sentiment recently voiced by his former boss, Donald Trump, who called on his followers to stop watching Fox News.

Speaking to a Real America’s Voice correspondent, the woman said that “young people don’t know any of the policies. So they go, and they vote personality.”

“We can’t win the personality war. We can win the policy war. They’re all in our favor. So we did a brochure that puts Republican policies on one side, Democrat policies on the other,” the woman said. “If you pick all the Democrat policies, vote that way, we just want you not to be stupid. You know, know what you’re voting for.”

Bannon then interjected, saying, “Ma’am, if you don’t want to be stupid, stop watching Fox, except for Tucker and Jesse Watters and Maria Bartiromo.”

In a post to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump also pushed an anti-Fox message, saying that “MAGA Hating Globalist RINOS” of Fox “should “get out of the News Business as soon as possible, because they are aiding & abetting the DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA with FAKE NEWS.”

Trump and Bannon are most likely referring to recent news stories detailing Fox chairman Rupert Murdoch’s deposition in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against the network, where he admitted that some hosts at the network endorsed false claims about voter fraud in the 2020 election.
