
The door on an Asiana Airlines plane opened while the was aircraft coming in for landing in Daegu, South Korea, on Friday, CNN reported.
Terrifying video recorded by a passenger shows wind whipping around the cabin as passenger grip their seats after the door was allegedly opened by a man in his 30s who was sitting at the emergency seat when the aircraft was about 700 feet above the ground.
The plane ultimately ended up landing safely.
The man who was suspected of opening the door was arrested by local police. He reportedly confessed to opening the door but did not give a motive.
A statement from South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that anyone who opens a door on an airline mid-flight could face up to 10 years in prison.
The plane had close to 200 people onboard at the time of the incident.
