Texas woman who flew private plane to Capitol riot gets slapped with new charges

The North Texas realtor who took a private plane to Washington D.C. to participate in the riot that breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 is now facing additional charges, Fox4 reports.

This Tuesday Jenna Ryan was charged with violent entry and disorderly conduct in a capitol building and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a capitol building. The new charges are in addition to the initial charges leveled against her, which included entering and remaining in a restricted building and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building.

Speaking to CBS11 earlier this month, Ryan said that President Trump gave her an excuse to be there.

“I just want people to know I’m a normal person, that I listen to my president who told me to go to the Capitol,” she said. “That I was displaying my patriotism while I was there and I was just protesting and I wasn’t trying to do anything violent and I didn’t realize there was actually violence.”
