The giant and ironically named ‘Torch Tower’ in Dubai is currently a fiery inferno

The 1,105 foot tall Torch Tower, also known as the “Marina Torch,” is one of the tallest housing structures on earth. As this article is being written, the building is engulfed in a blaze.

No one currently knows how the fire began or if anyone has been killed.

    For the people of Dubai:
    I strongly hope that no one has been injured or killed in this tragedy. I hope you are able to put out the fire soon.

    For any non-Americans reading this:

    People’s homes are burning. Their personal belongings are burning. Their family photos, some of which are irreplaceable, are burning. There’s a real possibility that some of those people are injured or dead because of this fire. You think its good? You’re what’s wrong with the world.
