This ‘Aztec death whistle’ makes the most horrifying sound you’ll ever hear

According to some archaeologists and historians, several whistles found in the grave of a man executed and buried in front of a temple dedicated to the Aztec wind god are “Aztec death whistles,” and yes, they sound like screaming death.

Some experts believe they were used during rituals to summon the wind, while others believe the whistle was used to intimidate enemies during battle or as a ritual before executions. Given the sound of these things, we’re inclined to believe the latter.
