This Irish comedian’s take on religion and science ignorance is perfect

Dara O’Briain is an Irish comedian and TV host in Britain, who describes himself as an “atheist” who’s “ethnically Catholic,” which provides for an interesting perspective to say the least.

In this bit from 2009 (?), O’Briain takes on the growing pseudoscience movement, slamming everyone from religious nuts to homeopaths, saying they should all be tied up in a bag together and “hit with a stick.”

“Homeopaths get on my nerves with the whole, ‘Science doesn’t know everything.’ Well, science knows it doesn’t know everything, otherwise, it’d stop.

Just because science doesn’t know everything doesn’t mean you can fill in the gaps with whatever fairy tale most appeals to you. The great thing about homeopathy is that you can’t overdose on it – well, you could f-cking drown.”
