This man found two bear cubs beside their dead mother, but you won’t believe what comes next

Now, we don’t suggest adopting a 10 foot-tall, 800-pound grizzly bear is a good idea, especially in light of the story of the late Timothy Treadwell. But this series of images of a man who chose to take two bear cubs under his wing who were found beside their dead mother is too sweet — and downright amazing — not to share.

Naturalist Casey Anderson stumbled across two grizzly bear cubs still nestled beside their dead mother in the mountains of Alaska. Casey decided he couldn’t just leave them to die, so he ended up taking them with him.

That simple decision, borne from his simple empathy for animals, turned into one of the most unique and adorable (and yes, potentially deadly) animal rehabilitation stories you’ll ever see. (h/t: Viral Nova)

Is it just us, or does Casey look a little nervous in this picture?

The problem here is that Brutus might have entirely different ideas as to what’s being served as the meal.

When your pet’s head is as big as your torso, you may be in a little over your head (pun intended).

Brutus was even the best man at Casey’s wedding.
