Trump campaign organizer: ‘Women who get free birth control should lose their voting rights’

Wayne Allen Root LOVES Donald Trump. Aside from claiming to be in frequent contact with the GOP nominee, he’s a major organizer for his campaign rallies when he comes to Nevada.

Appearing on Virginia radio host Rob Schilling’s show yesterday, Root discussed his new book Angry White Male and claimed that the country is evenly divided amongst the “maker and the takers” resulting in the middle class “basically paying, paying, paying and the poor get everything free, and it’s a disaster.”

He also thinks women who gain access to free birth control under Obamacare should have their voting rights stripped.

“So if the people who paid the taxes were the only ones allowed to vote, we’d have landslide victories,” he said, “But you’re allowing people to vote. This explains everything — people with conflict of interest shouldn’t be allowed to vote. If you collect welfare, you have no right to vote. The day you get off welfare, you get your voting rights back. The reality is, why are you allowed to have this conflict of interest that you vote for the politician who wants to keep your welfare checks coming and your food stamps and your aid to dependent children and your free health care and your Medicaid, your Medicare and your Social Security and everything else?”

Root then walked back his comments, saying people who receive Social Security and Medicare shouldn’t be disqualified from voting, but “in general most of the things I just rattled off should preclude you from voting.”

“Social Security should not, Medicare should not, because you paid into the system,” he continued. “But all the other stuff, all the other goodies, free Obama phones, free contraception — you know what? You can get them but you shouldn’t be allowed to vote, it’s a conflict of interest. Take that away, we’d win every single election in this country.”

    Ha! No you wouldn’t because most of the people that vote for you are from “Red states” and if you do the research most of those states are Federally Dependent on the taxpayer for programs such as “Welfare, Snap. Hud” to name a few so if those “Welfare” states were to limit the voting rights of their people, where would your votes come from?

    Do some more research moron, those Obama-phone actually came into existance under President Reagan, it was called the “Lifeline program” which covered landlines but was expanded in 2005 under George W Bush to include cellphones, so again you propagate another lie.

    “It was a republican expenditure Congress first enacted the Lifeline program in 1985, and the FCC expanded the program to cover cellphone service in 2005 during the George W. Bush administration.”

    Okay, so how are you then going to deal with all of the children born to parents either not prepared to raise children economically, mentally, physically, or otherwise? Hell let’s see how this works out? You claim that you believe in the sanctity of life, but you don’t want to assist those less fortunate when they for whatever reason are ill prepared to provide a quality of life for their children. I am not inferring college educations or vacations or things like that, I am speaking of the basics of life, food, clothing, shelter, medical care, K-12 education, just the basics. How does that work and how does that fit into the so-called “Christian-Values” so many claim they subscribe to? Maybe it’s time to pull out your “Bible and read the passages where Jesus Christ encourages all of us to help those less fortunate. Try reading and comprehending

    Proverbs 14:31 “Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.”

    or try this one.
    Proverbs 22:9 “Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”

    and if that doesn’t help then there is
    Proverbs 28:27 “Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.

    Then there is also
    Matthew 19:21” Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

    And my personal favorite
    Matthew 25:40-45New International Version (NIV)

    40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

    Seems to me, there are far too many so-called believers that only believe that which fits into their narrative, The Bible is a complete work, not a fable or fairy tale that one should just pull that which they want to apply to a topic to fit their agenda, Don’t call yourself a christian and live the life of a hypocrite. God searches the heart of man and in the end holds each of us responsible, individually and as a whole society.

    S then how does the limits on voting rights expressed here comport with the United States Constitution? Let’s look at it, again I implore you to do some research before making wild-ass statements that truly show just how foolish that statement is. For all those that profess to “Love the Constitution” That are Originalists, that think that we all must abide by that founding document, maybe they might want to read it sometime, and again try to comprehend the meaning of it, the words used were carefully considered and the intent was carefully crafted. Now let us look at the 14thA and don’t leave out Section 2-14A also consider that * indicates that there was a change made in 26A that lowered the age to vote to 18 and also the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote. Consider that the ramifications of denying any citizen no matter what their financial status is, or their need to avail themselves of government programs were considered and addressed by the founding fathers in that they inserted within Section 2 a penalty for the denial of the right to vote.

    Note: Article I, section 2, of the Constitution was modified by section 2 of the 14th amendment.

    Section 1.
    All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

    Section 2.
    Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age,* and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

    Section 3.
    No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

    Section 4.
    The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

    Section 5.
    The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

    *Changed by section 1 of the 26th amendment.

    Passed by Congress February 26, 1869. Ratified February 3, 1870.

    Section 1.
    The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude–

    Section 2.
    The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

    Again, suggestions to deny voting rights (not a privilege but a right) that are based on race, religion, gender etc including financial status cannot be denied without repercussion. Please stop making statements that clearly show the rest of the world just stupid and foolish those statements are. Do some basic research first, Ugh!!!

    Ok, and every business who exports jobs, stores money offshore, or relocates out of the US while doing business as a US company will also lose their right to vote. And their right to lobby, since that too is a conflict of interest.

    With the fraud, litany of unpaid laborers and bankruptcies, just to name a few, Trump has accumulated over the years I’d gather he has been more of a Taker than the citizen who qualifies for and uses the aid afforded to them.

    Well, since the vast majority of welfare and food stamp recipients are poor whites who live in Red States, maybe he has a point. Eliminate all those people, and Democrats *would* win every election by a landslide.
