Trump cancels rally after being subpoenaed to testify in investigation of his finances

Former President Donald Trump had to cancel an upcoming rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, due to the fact that he and some of his family members have been subpoenaed to testify in regards to an investigation into his finances, The News & Observer reports.

Trump, his son, Donald Trump Jr., and his daughter, Ivanka Trump, have been scheduled to testify under oath Friday on Friday. Back in May, The American Freedom Tour announced that Kimberly Guilfoyle, former New York state judge Jeanine Pirro, Pinal County (Arizona) Sheriff Mark Lamb and political commentator Dinesh D’Souza, were to make appearances at the event.

“We are very sorry that due to unforeseen circumstances we are rescheduling the American Freedom Tour stop in Greensboro, NC,” an emailed stated. “Your ticket may be used at any American Freedom Tour event in America.”

The email added that more information would be given to those already registered to attend the Greensboro event. A second email is set to go out once the event is rescheduled.
