Trump declares he’s ‘more popular’ than Taylor Swift — says he should have been TIME’s Person of the year, not her

Donald Trump is reportedly getting fired up by rumors that pop star Taylor Swift is gearing up to endorse President Joe Biden in the 2024 election.

According to a report from Rolling Stone, allies working with or close to Trump’s campaign say it’s pretty much expected that Swift will publicly throw her support behind Biden just as she did in 2020.

Sources speaking to Rolling Stone say that behind the scenes, Trump is livid about the attention Swift is getting, along with the possibility that she will team up with Biden against him.

“Trump has also privately claimed that he is “more popular” than Swift is and that he has more committed fans than she does, a person close to Trump and another source with knowledge of the matter tell Rolling Stone,” the report stated. “Last month, the source close to Trump adds, the ex-president commented to some confidants that it ‘obviously’ made no sense that he was not named Time magazine’s 2023 Person of the Year — an honor that went to none other than Swift in December.”

Trump has already attacked Swift publicly after she endorsed two Tennessee Democrats running during the 2018 midterms.

“I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now,” Trump said at the time.
