Trump supporter arrested for voter fraud after she tried to cast multiple ballots

A Florida woman was arrested this Monday after she cast more than one ballot in an election, WKMG reports.

Joan Halstead, 72, turned herself in to police and told them there was an active warrant for her arrest. After she was placed into custody at the Sumter County Detention Center, she was given a $2,000 bond. Sumter County records show that she is a registered Republican.

Reports say her social media activity shows she’s a supporter of former President Donald Trump.

Reports do not indicate which election she casted more than one ballot in.

According to the Village News, Halstead filed paperwork in October to challenge incumbent Sumter County School Board member Sally Moss, who was running for reelection, but she later withdrew her candidacy in the non-partisan school board race.
