Trump supporters deface Black Lives Matter mural in California: ‘Racism and police brutality are a lie’

A man and a woman defaced a Black Lives Matter mural in California in a video that surfaced this Saturday, with the woman taking a paint roller and covering up the giant yellow letters with black paint while the man recorded the act and berated onlookers.

The incident took place on the street in front of the Contra Costa County courthouse in Martinez, California, according to the person who uploaded the video to YouTube.

“What is wrong with you?” asks someone watching the defacement take place.

“We’re sick of this narrative, that’s what’s wrong,” answers the man wearing a red MAGA hat. “The narrative of police brutality, the narrative of oppression, the narrative of racism, it’s a lie.”

“Keep this sh*t in f*cking New York,” the woman defacing the mural says. “This isn’t happening in my town.”

Throughout the video, the woman continues to paint over the mural as onlookers question what she’s doing. At times, the man takes on a threatening tone with the onlookers.

According to reports, the city gave activists permission to paint the mural on the street in front of the courthouse.
