Trump thinks wearing a mask in public will harm his reelection chances

According to a report from the Associated Press, President Trump doesn’t want to wear a face mask in public because he thinks it will hurt his reelection chances.

Trump hasn’t yet worn a mask in public, and has said that sending a mask would send the “wrong message” that he’s more focused on health than reopening the economy.

“Moreover, Trump, who is known to be especially cognizant of his appearance on television, has also told confidants that he fears he would look ridiculous in a mask and the image would appear in negative ads,” the AP reports.
