Trump throws his own Justice Department under the bus: ‘Maybe they’re involved’ in voter fraud

Speaking to host Maria Bartiromo on the phone during a Fox News segment this Sunday, President Trump ranted about what he says is a “rigged” election in what was his first interview with Bartiromo since he lost to Joe Biden.

At one point, Trump suggested that the Department of Justice and the FBI aren’t doing enough to help in his effort to overturn the election’s results.

“Where is the DOJ and the FBI in all of this, Mr. President?” Bartiromo asked. “You have laid out some serious charges here. Shouldn’t this be something that the FBI is investigating? Are they? Is the DOJ investigating?”

Trump replied that according to him, both agencies are “missing in action.”

“Can’t tell you where they are,” Trump continued. “I ask, ‘Are they looking at it?’ Everyone says, ‘Yes, they’re looking at it.’ Look, where are they with Comey, McCabe, and all these other people? … Where are they? I’ve not seen anything. They just keep moving along.”

“This is total fraud,” Trump said later in the segment.” And how the FBI and the Department of Justice — I don’t know, maybe they’re involved — but how people are allowed t0 get away from this stuff in unbelievable. This election was rigged. This election was a total fraud.”
