After appearing front and center at the controversial press conference where Rudy Giuliani’s hair dye coursed down his cheek, the Trump campaign released a statement this Sunday declaring that Sidney Powell is not a member of President Trump’s legal team.
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own,” the statement read. “She is not a member of the Trump legal team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
Um she was at the nearly 2-hour press conference w Giuliani and Trump mentioned her in a tweet. Hard to put the toothpaste back etc pic.twitter.com/Rd1PD5WFi2

In the preceding days, Powell appeared on numerous shows, primarily on Fox News, promoting claims that many say are unsubstantiated regarding alleged voter fraud that took place during the 2020 election. In a tweet from November 14, even Trump himself declared Powell to be a member of his legal team.
I look forward to Mayor Giuliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS! Rudy Giuliani, Joseph diGenova, Victoria Toensing, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, a truly great team, added to our other wonderful lawyers and representatives!
