Trumpkins launch #BoycottStarbucks and get the Twitter mockery they deserve

In the wake of Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz‘s announcement that the mega coffee chain will hire 10,000 refugees in 75 countries, Trump supporters lashed out on Twitter with the hashtag #BoycottStarbucks.

If support for President Trump’s executive order barring immigration from Muslim majority countries is really about fighting terrorism, one has to wonder why refugees who want to work are being targeted by a boycott — but then again, do we really have to wonder why?

If history is any kind of indicator, these kinds of Twitter campaigns usually never end well for their initial purveyors. Naturally, progressives hijacked the hashtag and turned it into an anti-Trump meme.
