In an announcement posted to its official Twitter account, the United States Marine Corps banned the public display of the Confederate flag at its military installations in the U.S. and around the world.
Today, the Marine Corps released guidance on the removal of public displays of the Confederate battle flag.

The new rules will also ban confederate patches, posters, and even bumper stickers on private vehicles that Marines use to drive to the bases where they’re stationed.
