A disturbing video out of Russia shows an event at a school where a male student draws a knife and tries to cut the throat of a female classmate.
There’s not much information on the incident, but according to some sources, the incident took place in the city of Volgograd during a ceremony marking the end of the school year.
The video starts out showing a group of students standing on a podium after they had just finished singing a song. As parents applaud, a student with glasses standing behind a girl suddenly puts his hands around her neck while holding a knife. The girl lets out a huge scream and manages escape.
Students who were nearby then grab hold of the boy and restrain him while parents can be seen rushing the stage to grab their children. While it’s not confirmed, some sources say the girl was taken to the hospital but was not injured.
There’s currently no known motive for the attack.
