The High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) experiment consists of four cameras that have been attached outside of the International Space Station. Although it makes for incredible viewing, the experiment is not just for our own enjoyment. Because the cameras are exposed to the radiation from the sun, allowing astronauts to understand how radiation affects the instruments.
The cameras are fixed towards the Earth 27/7, which makes for some breathtaking images. But even better, the video feed is being live-streamed for all of us to see.
