Watch the amazing change that happens when this woman with cerebral palsy smokes cannabis

Jacqueline Patterson has cerebral palsy, a congenital disorder affecting her motor functions. As a result of her condition, she suffers from a severe speech impediment along with major pain and muscle weakness on the right side of her body. This video excerpt from the documentary In Pot We Trust demonstrates the amazing effect cannabis has on her condition.

Patterson doesn’t want her condition to affect her ability to be a mother to her children, so she looked for alternative treatments. She soon discovered that cannabis released a significant amount of her tension and pain, but most notably reduced her stutter.

Unfortunately, if she’s caught buying or smoking the plant, she risks losing custody of her children.

After Patterson was reported for possession in Kansas City, she moved to California and won a court case arguing that her consumption of marijuana was strictly for medicinal purposes.
