It’s easy to focus on the depraved and jaded world of celebrities — usually through the lens of a paparazzi or a tabloid newspaper. But every now and then, some celebrities remind us that it’s possible to hold on to your humanity even after being thrust into that superficial environment.
One example is Jennifer Lawrence. When at the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the Oscar-winning actress stopped in the middle of interviews and photo ops to comfort a sobbing fan (who appeared to be in a wheelchair) behind the security barrier.
Our hearts were warmed when we saw the time she took to connect with her fan, and it’s reassuring to see that in the midst of all the flashing cameras and opulence, she was able to recognize what really mattered.
