Another angry white male is going viral for berating non-white people, this time at a Midtown Manhattan lunch chain on Wednesday.
A video making the internet rounds shows a man threatening to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the eatery’s employees because he overheard them speaking Spanish to customers. The poor guy was angry because he doesn’t like to hear Spanish being spoken in “my country.”
“Every person I listen to—he’s speaking it, she’s speaking it. This is America,” the man shouted, missing the irony of what he just said.
As a person identified as the manager of the establishment confronted him, he continued: “Your clients and your staff are speaking Spanish to staff when they should be speaking English…My guess is they’re undocumented, so my next call is to ICE to have each one of them taken out of my country. If they have the balls to come here and live off my money—I pay for their welfare. I pay for their ability to be here.”
According to Gothamist, although the man has not been identified, some Twitter users are claiming he’s been seen at various Trump rallies.
The video was uploaded to Facebook by Edward Suazo, who said that he and his wife were confronted by the man as they were talking to the cashier.
Speaking to Gothamist, a witness said the man was thrown out of the restaurant after his tirade.
