There’s a lot of folks ecstatic over Donald Trump‘s victory in the 2016 Election, and former KKK Grand Dragon David Duke is one of them. But there’s one person who Duke thinks deserves all the credit.
In a tweet just after Election Day, Duke praised Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, whose whistleblowing website released hacked emails from Hillary Clinton and her staffers throughout the course of the campaign.
“GOD BLESS WIKILEAKS,” Duke exclaimed, before calling Assange a hero and declaring America owes him its “FREEDOM.”

In addition to Duke, numerous white supremacist outfits voiced their support for Trump. In early November, the “premier voice of the white resistance,” The Crusader, published an op-ed endorsing the GOP nominee.
“While Trump wants to make America great again, we have to ask ourselves, ‘What made America great in the first place?’” the endorsement reads, as reported by the Washington Post. “The short answer to that is simple. America was great not because of what our forefathers did – but because of who our forefathers were. America was founded as a White Christian Republic. And as a White Christian Republic it became great.”
