After his wife posted on Facebook about his involvement in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6,  a Pennsylvania man has been arrested and charged, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Gary Edwards, 68, was arrested on Tuesday and hit with an array of charges, including entering and disorderly conduct in a restricted building and disruption of official business.

In now-deleted Facebook posts, Lynn Feiler Edwards wrote: “Okay ladies, let me tell you what happened as my husband was there inside the Capitol.”

According to her, Gary was only inside the building to help other rioters who’d been sprayed with tear gas, discuss politics, and sing the Star Spangled Banner. She also claimed he had a few amicable discussions with police during his time inside the building.

“These were people who watched their rights being taken away,” she wrote, referring to the rioters. “Their votes stolen from them, their state officials violating the constitutions of their country.”

According to the Inquirer, an anonymous tipster took a screenshot of the post and sent it to the FBI. Agents later found social media photos and video and security footage confirming that Gary was indeed inside the Capitol on Jan. 6.

If convicted, Gary faces up to a year in prison.
