Woman whose baby died after being left in hot car for 3 hours while she officiated church service is arrested

A Florida woman whose baby died in a hot car earlier this week was arrested by the Palm Bay Police Department this Thursday, ClickOrlando reported.

Bulaine Molme ,37, was officiating a church service at Mount of Olives Evangelical Church in Palm Bay before police were called to the scene and found her 11-month-old daughter unresponsive. The church is run by Molme and her pastor husband.

Investigators say she arrived late to the church where she planned to officiate a service that day and thought a church member had brought the child inside.

First responders said the child was left in the car for approximately three hours.

She realized hours later that the child was not in the church and wasn’t with any church members. She immediately went out to her car and found the child unresponsive.

The child was taken to the hospital but later died.

Fox 35 reported that Molme posted a $15,000 bond and was released from jail. A criminal defense attorney said the manslaughter charge against her likely won’t stick.
