Donald Trump‘s Middle East real estate partner, DAMAC Properties, removed the Republican presidential candidate’s photo from a $6 billion luxury gold complex, Thursday.
Reuters reported the advertising billboard outside AKOYA by DAMAC development in Dubai had shown Trump in a red hat swinging a golf club against a backdrop of a lush green golf course.
By Thursday morning the image was removed, according to a Reuters photographer.
Also Trump’s daughter Ivanka’s photo was removed along with the gold letters for the “Trump International Gold Club.”
DAMAC has yet to make a statement regarding the change. It is also unclear if the project is in jeopardy or if they have just temporarily removed Trump’s name and photos from the project until the international furor over Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering America subsides.
