In what are probably his most pointed remarks directed towards President Trump to date, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson took to Twitter and blasted Trump’s proposed cuts to arts, education, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Although Tyson usually prefers attacking ideas rather than people, his comments are a direct challenge to the Trump administration. One other time, Tyson called Trump out by name and addressed his penchant for grabbing women by their genitalia without their consent.
“When I meet President Trump, I may first grab his crotch — to get his attention — then discuss Science with him,” Tyson said in a now-deleted tweet from November, 2016.
