Idiot pulls a gun in a movie theater because a child kept kicking his seat

Police in Paducah, Kentucky are seeking charges against a man who pulled a gun in a movie theater in response to a dispute over a child allegedly kicking the seat he was sitting in.

According to Deadline, a man and his son “were sitting behind another man, and the son was kicking the back of the man’s seat. Witnesses said the man got up and cursed the youth, asking if he was going to continue kicking his seat. The boy’s father interceded, and a fight broke out between the two men — neither of which PPD has identified. As the father got the upper hand in the fight, witnesses said, the other man pulled a gun and said, ‘What the [expletive] are you going to do now.’”

As the argument escalated, moviegoers ran for the exit when it was apparent that a weapon had been drawn. Eventually, the gun-wielding man was escorted from the theater by staff and moviegoers, and police arrested him outside.

“The man was barred from Cinemark property, and police will present their investigation on Monday to the McCracken County Attorney’s office for charges,” the Paducah Police Department said.

It just goes to show that an armed society is not always such a polite society.
