Some of the most extreme right-wing activists in the country will be convening at the Awakening 2013 conference next week — with Michele Bachmann and other GOP politicians as some of the headliners.
The event is being organized by the Liberty Council, one of the more well-known anti-gay religious right groups. But along with the event’s viciously anti-gay speakers, an even more eye-opening aspect is its inclusion of 9/11 conspiracy theorist and Sandy Hook Truther Bradley Dean.
Dean’s ties to Bachmann have been well-known, and he’s a columnist alongside Rick Santorum and Ted Nugent in the fringe conspiracy website, World Net Daily, where he’s written about his beliefs that the Sandy Hook shootings were orchestrated by the U.S. government.
