Conservative pundit and transgenderism critic Matt Walsh appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience this Monday to discuss the trans movement and the debate surrounding certain medical procedures and trans youth. During one point in his discussion with host Joe Rogan, Walsh was fact-checked by Rogan’s resident researcher, Jamie Vernon.
Walsh, who recently released the anti-trans movie What is a Woman?, was asked by Rogan how many children are taking hormone blockers.
“I don’t think we have exact numbers, but if we’re talking about the drugs, it’s, I mean, millions,” Walsh said.
“Millions of kids have been on hormone blockers? Really?” Rogan asked, seeming surprised.
“I’m sure someone’s going to fact check me on it, but my guess is that we’re in—we’re into the millions now at this point,” Walsh replied.
Vernon then displayed a news report from early last month that says about 4,780 children with “a prior gender dysphoria diagnosis” have been prescribed hormone blockers over the past 5 years, although the figure could be an undercount — to which Walsh revised his guess to “hundreds of thousands.”
“A million sounds great,” Rogan replied sarcastically.

On Joe Rogan's podcast, Matt Walsh claims that "millions" of trans people are on puberty blockers, until a fact check suggests that the true number is less than a thousand per year.
Walsh: "Media Matters will have fun with that clip."
