Bill Barr plans to ‘take action’ against officials who ‘single out’ churches for violating social distancing rules

During the run-up to this past Easter weekend, the office of Attorney General William Barr announced that the Justice Department would take action against government officials who single out religious organizations for violating social distancing orders, the Christian Post reports.

“During this sacred week for many Americans, AG Barr is monitoring govt regulation of religious services,” a spokesperson for Barr tweeted on April 11. “While social distancing policies are appropriate during this emergency, they must be applied evenhandedly & not single out religious orgs. Expect action from DOJ next week!”
