Christian website raises over a half-million dollars for Kyle Rittenhouse

In the wake of his arrest for ending the lives of two protesters and wounding another during the recent unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, a Christian crowdfunding website launched a fund-raising effort for Kyle Rittenhouse‘s legal defense.

Now, the fundraiser on the site GiveSendGo has surpassed half a million dollars, reaching $524,390 as of this writing.

“Kyle Rittenhouse just defended himself from a brutal attack by multiple members of the far-leftist group ANTIFA – the experience was undoubtedly a brutal one, as he was forced to take two lives to defend his own,” the fundraiser’s description reads, adding that Rittenhouse was “unfairly charged.”

“Let’s give back to someone who bravely tried to defend his community,” the fundraiser reads.

The people behind the fundraiser are only identified as “Friends Of The Rittenhouse Family.”

Rittenhouse is currently being held on murder charges and is fighting extradition to Wisconsin, where he would stand trial.
